About The Wedding
Kalli and Josh wanted a laid-back, casual wedding that was very "them" - and that's exactly what they got! From their beautiful outdoor ceremony (which incorporated elements from Josh's Jewish heritage), to the "progressive dinner" (we started with an hors d'oeuvres buffet from Zest, moved on to tacos and fries from the taco truck, and capped it off with gelato), to the dancing under the tent, Kalli and Josh were relaxed and so were their guests. They didn't even flinch when a band from the nearby Cinco de Mayo celebration in Oakhurst nearly drowned out their ceremony. As photographers themselves, they included vintage cameras from their collection in the tablescapes, which were accented with blue glass, cheery red blooms, and succulents for a completely different look.
My Favorite Moment
Josh and his friends are also musicians. In addition to playing a song that Josh himself wrote for Kalli during the ceremony (awww!), their friend Eliot also performed a song that he wrote for the occasion. That's what weddings are about - sharing love with friends and family. How lovely.
My Favorite Detail
Kalli and Josh had a DIY photo booth with a polaroid guest book and fun mustaches on sticks. However, they added a fun, different touch by having guests pin their photos on string, which was strung between two posts on the table. Super cute!

Comments From The Couple
"When we started planning our wedding, I was convinced that we could do it all ourselves. We were going to keep things simple and small so this seemed realistic. However, our friends recommended that we meet with Daria and just consider hiring a coordinator. It was very clear from our initial meeting that Daria's experience and dedication to making our wedding what we wanted it to be would be were exactly what we needed. Daria listened carefully and made sure that our wedding stayed true to what we had initially said was important to us. She never pushed us to do things for the sake of tradition (which was very important to us), but she still helped us keep in mind the needs of our all guests. Seriously, we can't imagine surviving the wedding planning or wedding day without her. We have already recommended her to several of our friends and will continue to do so." ~ Kalli and Josh
