Amy & Peter

About The Wedding
Amy and Peter planned an intimate, elegant afternoon wedding at the Wimbish House - one of my favorite Atlanta venues. The ceremony was personalized with tidbits that Amy and Peter had shared with the officiant about their relationship, which he then worked into the homily. The highlight of the cocktail hour was the live piano music. When guests returned downstairs, they enjoyed a Southern buffet (complete with menu signs in English and German, to assist Peter's mother and cousins who flew in from Germany), and the classic sounds of Society Express. Amy had so many cute personal touches (all in her color scheme of navy and bubble gum pink), including koozies, adorable straws with flags, and a picture book about Germany for their guest book.
My Favorite Detail
For her escort cards, Amy had miniature silver chairs which held each guest's card, and a sign that said "Take Your Seat" (the chairs were one of her favors). The thing that made it extra cute is that throughout the Wimbish House, there are similar pictures of chairs - a great detail to pick up on!
My Favorite Moment
During Amy's dad's welcome speech and toast, he told the story of how he immediately liked Peter because of the look in his eye and the way he looked at Amy. What dad doesn't want to know that his daughter is in good hands?
