Lindsay & Ralphie

About The Wedding
Lindsay and Ralphie envisioned a warm, fun-filled family celebration. They fell in love with their venue, which is a beautifully renovated warehouse with lots of cool architectural details and an outdoor patio that hugs the railroad tracks. Lindsay and her mom created the whole look, which centered around Lindsay's favorite chevron pattern, and a spring palette of yellow, white and gray. Their beautiful ceremony included one of my favorite "unity" traditions, the wine box ceremony. Guests then enjoyed the cocktail hour on the patio, before the main event: a stations dinner with a tater tot bar as the centerpiece! Lindsay and Ralphie had always wanted this at their wedding, and were thrilled to find a caterer who could execute it just perfectly. After dinner and two kinds of cake (not to mention homemade cookies courtesy of Lindsay's sister), guests danced to a mix of American and Puerto Rican music.
My Favorite Detail
Lindsay ordered the cutest thing for her cake table: personalized forks! The handles were engraved with the wedding date. I had never seen this before, but I think it's a great idea. You're much more likely to use these after the wedding than a cake knife and server set.
My Favorite Moment
Had to be when the sun came out for the (outdoor) ceremony, after the forecast had been calling for rain all week! I love it when my brides get to have the exact wedding they envisioned.
