About The Party
After eloping to Lake Oconee and having a baby together, Deborah and Richard were more than ready to celebrate their wedding with their family and friends! In the end, the best date for the party turned out to be just a little over two years after their actual wedding date. Deborah knew she wanted the party to be at Greystone the moment she saw the gorgeous Piedmont Park venue. We worked together for a year putting together all of the details. That first weekend in November is usually gorgeous, and this year was no exception. Greystone was beautifully enhanced by the flowers in tones of red. Endive's buffet stations were a hit, as always. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour as dusk fell, and found the key to their table assignment for dinner hanging from a birch tree display. The main event was a special band put together by Richard and Colonel Bruce Hampton (a local music legend) as a surprise for Deborah. The couple loves live music and wanted their party to feel like an intimate concert. Despite not having rehearsed together, this fabulous group of professionals jammed for 3 hours, much to everyone's delight.

My Favorite Detail
Deborah was able to wear her wedding gown (after extensive alterations, as she was very pregnant when she first wore it!). She topped it off with a fabulous ostrich feather shrug, which was perfect for the crisp fall day.

My Favorite Moment
After the family photos prior to the party starting, Deborah and Richard came inside to see the band, so Deborah could see who had come to play at the party. Seeing her excitement and happy tears at all the old friends who had agreed to participate was priceless.

Comments From The Couple
"Thank you so much, Daria, for the incredible Wedding Party.  At our brunch today, even Colonel Bruce spoke of how impressed he was with how you kept everything in order. My phone has been bombarded with literally over 50 texts and voicemails from people raving about the food, music, decor, choices in wines and liquor, and overall fun flow. We could not possibly be happier. Mostly, we are grateful that you won't allow us to have any problems. And you do so in your Mary Poppins style. You are the Mary Poppins of Wedding Planners and we are fortunate to have crossed paths with you." ~ Deborah (bride)
