About The Wedding
Jenneca and Lorenzo, with help from her mom Suzanne, planned a lovely, low-key wedding at the Emory Conference Center Hotel. After getting engaged in a hot air balloon in Asheville, I think she wanted to keep things simple! The ceremony was meant to be in the Garden Courtyard, but alas, Mother Nature had other plans for us that day and we ended up in the Garden Overlook instead. Purple was the color of the day and the beautifully decorated garden arbor was brought inside for their ceremony backdrop. The couple poured unity sand after exchanging vows and then proceeded to have great fun with the wedding party photos - lots of props made appearances! The evening continued with a buffet dinner and dancing in the Starvine Ballroom. A highlight was the Star Trek groom's cake, as well as the chocolate truffle and Jordan almond favors. Sparklers lit up the night sky as the couple departed tired but happy.
My Favorite Detail
Several of my brides have embraced the trend of doing a "First Look" photo with their fathers. This is a sweet tradition, and Jenneca made it fun with the addition of bunches of balloons (in purple, of course!), which she and her dad both held in front of their faces as they approached each other. It made for a cute photo!
My Favorite Moment
One of the really interesting things about weddings is that they take on a life of their own sometimes. This year, there's a new song out called "Happy," which is super upbeat and, well, happy. The DJ played it during dinner, and next thing I knew, the dance floor was packed as guests spontaneously left their plates to celebrate. How fun!

Comments From The Family
"Just a quick note to let you know how much we appreciated EVERYTHING that you did to make Saturday come together in such a beautiful way. You have been such an asset to this entire process, and I am certain that your “magic touch” was evident in the final event. From the very beginning, I was confident that with your expertise, we had chosen a great team member for the wedding. From the checklists, to the day-of detailed planning/scheduling, all the bazillion e-mails asking for advice, your calm but thorough demeanor at the wedding, and even bringing me headache meds at the reception….awesome, awesome, just awesome! I can’t believe the wedding has now come and gone, but the memories will be forever. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!" ~ Suzanne (MOB)
