You made all my wedding dreams come true.

About The Wedding
Kathleen and Jim contacted me to help them plan their elegant, understated wedding. She's originally from Chicago and he's from New York, but they both have made Atlanta their home. I immediately fell in love with the family - Kathleen's parents as well as Jim were closely involved in the planning. I love it when the father of the bride comes to all the meetings and is super invested in the wedding, and his daughter's happiness. Dad and Jim were two peas in a pod - organized and meticulous. Kathleen and Jim really wanted their guests to feel taken care of the entire weekend. Since they are so thoughtful and caring with each other, this just makes sense! The day began with the girls getting ready at the hotel, and a bit of drama - the bridal suite flooded due to an air conditioning leak! The hotel acted quickly; sending a dry cleaner to clean the bottom hem of the wedding gown, and getting everyone relocated to a new suite. No harm done: the hair and makeup miraculously remained on schedule, and soon enough we were headed to the church for the ceremony. Kathleen and Jim wanted to preserve the tradition of not seeing each other before the wedding, so we planned family and wedding party photos in a nearby park while the guests relaxed in the hospitality suite before the reception. Alas, our water issues continued with buckets of rain falling during and after the ceremony, so we relocated the photos to the hotel lobby, where their dog Chief met us for some photos with his mom and dad. Kathleen and Jim enjoyed their private date as the cocktail hour began, and then the party was in full swing! The ballroom looked beautiful, with flowers in shades of cream and purple. Guests enjoyed dinner stations, the band and the photo booth. At the end, Kathleen and Jim departed through the interior courtyard as guests lit sparklers.

My Favorite Detail
Chief wore a very cute bow tie and thank you sign for their photos with him. I love it when pups get to be part of the celebration!

My Favorite Moment
This one actually happened way before the wedding - it was during our initial consultation. As you can read in Kathleen's dad's review, he was initially unsure that a wedding planner was necessary (he is super organized himself). I could tell when he arrived for our meeting that I would have to show him the value of my services. By the time we got done with the meeting, I could see a major shift had taken place and that he was on board. From then on, we were a team!

Comments From The Family
"In helping to plan my daughter’s wedding, I questioned the value of a wedding planner. In retrospect, thinking that we could have coordinated the hundreds of details involved in the wedding events was really naïve! I pride myself in being highly detailed oriented. Again in retrospect, we did not know what we didn’t know! My original list of things to do did not even begin to scratch the surface of the items that Daria helped us with.

Not only was her organized and methodical approach outstanding but her friendly nature and supportive attitude made the process fun. All of the vendor and service providers that she recommended, along with her guidance on their selection, resulted in a coordinated, seamless execution of all aspects of the events. Throughout the process her calm, professional demeanor kept all of us (especially the bride!) focused with virtually no anxiety during what could have been a pressure-packed period.

Daria also knew how to work with all of us; the bride, groom, mother-of-the-bride, and me, the pushy father-of-the-bride. Nothing fazed her. Her treasure trove of wedding accessories was amazing. From signage to a sand bucket for sparklers; she had something for everything! With a large wedding including over 150 out of town guests, every detail was handled flawlessly. Wow!" ~ Tom (Father of the Bride)
