About The Wedding
Jacquie and Syl wanted a fun, casual, picnic-style wedding at Monday Night Brewing (Jacquie is friends with the event coordinator there). As an up and coming venue, theirs was one of the first weddings to take place there. I was fascinated by the transformation from brewery to beautiful event space that our amazing vendors made happen in just 1.5 hours. The ceremony took place on the secluded brick patio, which is charmingly decorated with planters and overhead string lights. Guests gathered around the couple: some on red wooden benches, some standing, as Jacquie and Syl's friend Erin officiated the short but sweet service. Syl had a very unique ring - it was made of reclaimed wood that was polished to a high sheen. A friend read a piece I had never heard before, but loved: 'Union' by Robert Fulghum. Petals created beautiful displays of wildflowers in white and green with pops of red, along with clusters of lanterns and jars, and enhanced the look with red checkerboard tablecloths. Dinner was a fabulous Southern buffet, and guests found seats both inside at long rectangular tables and outside at the picnic tables (which were covered in kraft paper so they could draw picture and write notes). With wedding cake, a late night snack of mini milkshakes, and cookie sandwich favors, guests were guaranteed not to go hungry - although they worked a lot of the calories off on the dance floor! Jacquie and Syl departed as guests blew bubbles.

My Favorite Detail
Jacquie worked with Paper Daisies to design many cute paper items, and my favorite was the hand fans, which served as programs and entertainment, with a word search on the back to keep guests occupied and cool while they waited for the ceremony to begin.

My Favorite Moment
Syl is much taller than Jacquie, and when they kissed at the end of the ceremony, he literally picked her up, as they both beamed with joy. So sweet!

Comments From The Couple
"How can we possibly begin to thank you?! Working with you was such a pleasure - you kept us on track, calm and with our "eyes on the prize" when we were getting caught up in the details. And then, on our wedding day, you brought an amazing sense of calm and professionalism. I am absolutely sure I would not have enjoyed our wedding day half as much had you not been there. You are too extraordinary. Thank you, thank you, thank you!" ~ Jacquie and Syl
