About The Wedding
Christina and her mom Sandi are super close, and were looking forward to planning her wedding together. Everything was going along fine, until 4 months before the wedding, when there was a fire in the parents' home. Thank heavens no one was hurt, but wedding planning had to take a backseat as Sandi dealt with insurance and contractors. So they changed the level of service from coordination to full service planning, and we were off and running! As Christina is the only daughter, Sandi was determined that despite everything else going on, they were going to enjoy every moment of this process and make it meaningful. And despite some drama that occurred, they did! Details and sentimental items were very important for both mom and bride. They wanted everything under the sun to be a part of the wedding. The ceremony took place in a beautiful historic sanctuary, and a highlight was soloist Sam Hagan singing a hymn written by the bride's great-grandfather, as well as other songs. We tied an heirloom brooch and ring to Christina's bouquet, along with the gorgeous blue tourmaline ring Tim had surprised her with that morning. All of this was detailed in a beautiful wedding program. Christina was a vision in her Hayley Paige gown. No one but us knew that we had spend hours every day of the wedding week at Wedding Angels and the fabulous Irina's Alterations as the defective bodice was completely reworked not once, but twice. Tim and the guys were dapper in their Modern Gent suits. I am eternally grateful to Kate for coming to our rescue on the night before the wedding when our original vendor (beware Rik Ducar and The Groom Studio!) completely failed to provide the contracted suits, and the guys were in danger of having nothing to wear. She truly saved the day! The reception style was pretty and feminine, with every detail in champagne and blush. The Grand Ballroom at the Georgian Terrace was stunning, with a showpiece estate table with a specialty linen and gorgeous tablescape. Flowers were very important to Christina and her mom, and Faith Flowers outdid themselves! After enjoying cocktail hour, guests were invited in to find their seats and were greeted by tray-passed margaritas (pink, of course!). A seated dinner followed the couple's appearance on the ballroom balcony, with guests choosing from among chicken, salmon or beef tenderloin. Dessert was wedding cake and a surprise groom's cake, and guests then enjoyed the bourbon and cigar bar on the patio, as well as a late night snack of soft pretzels, in between time on the dance floor as We Got The Beat rocked the house. At the end, in case they were still hungry, guests grabbed cookie sandwich favors as Christina and Tim departed in the light of sparklers in a vintage car, which took them on a joyride to the ferris wheel in Downtown Atlanta.

My Favorite Detail
The estate table linen was the same one I had chosen for the bridal luncheon. Christina loved it so much, nothing would do but that we got it back for the wedding!

My Favorite Moment
Thursday morning at Irina's Alterations, when Christina tried on the gown for probably the 20th time that week, and instead of looking like she was going to cry (or actually crying), she smiled and said she loved it. Hallelujah! Hurray for Irina!

Comments From The Couple
"Daria is my absolute hero! I genuinely feel that words cannot express how fantastic she is, both as a person and as an exceptional (!!) wedding planner. From our first meeting with Daria, I immediately felt as though she was my dear friend who wanted everything that I wanted for our wedding. My mom and I quickly discovered that we made the very best decision in hiring Daria. She was there by our side through everything, and she would always know what I wanted even before I did! Daria’s expertise, professionalism, and sweet spirit made our planning process a complete success. She far surpassed what I hoped for in hiring a wedding planner. She is a miracle worker for sure! Daria is incredibly organized and offered the perfect amount of support and guidance needed to make the wedding of my dreams become a reality! She was always ready and willing to go above and beyond the call of duty for anything we needed, and she most certainly did on numerous occasions. It is quite apparent that Daria has a gift for what she does, as her pure talent exudes in every detail and decision made. She is a top-notch wedding planner and her expertise is unmatched. I would recommend her without question. After all, she is the BEST!!" ~ Christina (bride)
