Everything was amazing! I certainly couldn't have done it without you.

About The Wedding
Chrissy and Jacob live in Chicago while Jacob attends business school, but met in Atlanta (Chrissy is from here). They wanted their wedding to be a fun reunion of friends and family in one of their favorite cities. With a busy work travel schedule, Jacob's school, and only seven months to plan the wedding, Chrissy relied heavily on me to assist her with most of the decisions. On her trips to Atlanta we would feverishly visit vendors and finalize details until everything came together. Their wedding weekend was a tour of downtown Atlanta. The room block was at the Ritz, and we had chosen a restaurant in the adjacent 191 Peachtree building for the rehearsal dinner. On the wedding day, which was a beautiful fall day (thank goodness!), Chrissy and her friends had a great time getting ready in her suite at the Ritz and taking a few photos in the lobby as we headed to the ceremony (a short walk to the building next door, and up the elevator to the Commerce Club). The always fabulous Jeremiah O'Keefe officiated the brief ceremony, which featured a wine box unity tradition. The wedding guests then went their own ways to enjoy the afternoon in the city before the evening reception, and we moved on to photos. We got some wonderful shots in the lobby of the 191 building, and then the wedding party and Chrissy and Jacob boarded the bus (where Chick-fil-A sandwiches awaited them as an afternoon snack) for Piedmont Park. After a quick wardrobe change for Chrissy, we got some great photos around the park, and then moved on to the Foundry, where the wedding party goofed around on the patio while Chrissy and Jacob had their private date. Then it was time to party! The white flowers and blue linens brightened the dark Foundry space, and guests enjoyed a plated dinner before hitting the dance floor. Before leaving, each guest grabbed a cookie sandwich favor (think homemade double doozie - delicious!) and a handful of rose petals to send the couple off to their fabulous Southeast Asian honeymoon.

My Favorite Detail
Chrissy wore a very cool bolero that buttoned up the back for the ceremony - if I hadn't helped her put it on, I would have thought it was just part of the gown! For her wardrobe change, we removed the bolero and her veil, and added a fascinator to her hair and a super sparkly belt to the gown. She looked completely different! I even heard some guests speculating on whether she had changed gowns. It's fun to have a different look for the reception.

My Favorite Moment
I feared that the park photos would be difficult, since the park gets very crowded with wedding parties and the public on beautiful weekends, but the bus driver luckily got a prime spot outside the 14th Street gate. We crossed the Active Oval (dodging joggers and soccer balls as we went), and took photos by the ivy wall outside Greystone. I had checked to see what time their bride was arriving, and we finished up right as her limo pulled up. Whew! On the way back to board the bus, the photographer spied some fabulous light and grabbed some gorgeous shots of Chrissy by a tree. A successful outing!
