About The Wedding
I worked with Rebecca and her mom for over a year to plan Rebecca and Will's Emory area wedding. Rebecca grew up in the area and attended Emory University, so it was special to her to come back and be married near there. The ceremony was very important to Rebecca and Will, and many of their church friends participated, as greeters, readers and musicians. Their current pastor and Rebecca's youth pastor, who works at Glenn, co-officiated the ceremony. Rebecca carried several family heirlooms tied onto her bouquet, and lace from her mom's veil was incorporated into her bouquet wrap as well as the flower girl's dress. Music permeated the lovely worship service, and Rebecca and Will personally served Communion to all 200 of their guests. Afterwards, the guests traveled to the Emory Conference Center Hotel, where cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were served on the outdoor terrace on this beautiful spring evening, while Rebecca and Will took a few more photos in the gorgeous early evening light. Rebecca's mom had gathered family wedding photos that went back three generations, and had taken the extra step of providing tags that not only identified the couples by name and relationship, but also listed the wedding date and location. What a great conversation piece! The Lullwater Ballroom looked gorgeous, with a centerpiece estate table with towering greenery centerpieces, accented with a few blooms for a garden-style look. Rebecca and her mom had carefully designed the look with Petals, and Tim incorporated many of Rebecca's mom's vases and candles into the tablescapes for a personalized look. Guests enjoyed the buffet dinner of lots of vegetables, Gouda mashed potatoes, and roast beef and salmon, and then tucked into two kinds of cake, plus peanut butter whoopie pies brought in as a special treat for Will. The dance floor quickly filled, and guests danced the night away until Rebecca and Will departed in a vintage car as guests lit sparklers, which took them on a joyride to Downtown Atlanta and back. Rebecca and her mom were super detailed and also super nervous about everything coming together properly, and it was wonderful to hear their appreciation for the perfect wedding day we achieved!

My Favorite Detail
We had planned for the couple to leave the church in an Uber car (since the hotel was just a few minutes away). Somehow Will's phone would only allow me to call an Uber X, which can be any type of car. We were tickled when up rolls a white Kia Soul! It was actually very cute to see them drive off in it, and the driver could not have been nicer.

My Favorite Moment
The musicians Rebecca asked to perform during the ceremony were so incredibly talented that their music gave me goosebumps. Communion was a very important part of the ceremony, and they played two songs while Rebecca and Will administered communion. The second one wrapped up perfectly just as the last guests were taking communion. I remember sitting at the back of the church and marveling at how things just come perfectly together sometimes, and how beautiful those moments can be. I'm grateful I was able to witness this one.
