About The Wedding
Stephanie and Casey are busy executives and parents - with four kids between them, ages 3-14, they didn't have a lot of time for wedding planning! Stephanie and I pulled the wedding together over the summer, and it was an incredible affair! The decor took center stage and absolutely transformed the Foundry, which is a great neutral backdrop. Beautiful layered, swagged drapery was installed as their ceremony backdrop (and later became the DJ's backdrop). We had two lounge furniture groupings, including custom couches from Casey's furniture company. The wedding party and family sat at a 32-foot long estate table created from four farm tables, and the cake had pride of place on another, smaller farm table. Through it all, beautiful floral installations in shades of white were scattered. The effect was stunning! The wedding fell on the Friday of Music Midtown weekend, which is always interesting traffic-wise in Atlanta. However, all the guests were right on time for the sweet ceremony, which was officiated by the pastor from Stephanie's childhood church in Wisconsin. To honor their new blended family, they included a ring unity ceremony, in which they presented rings to all four of the kids. Afterwards, the party was on! Guests enjoyed passed appetizers and an over-the-top cheese station during the cocktail hour, which was presented on a rolling cart decorated with hundreds of candles on the lower level, and included Ellsworth cheese curds to honor Stephanie's Wisconsin heritage. Then, the curtains opened to welcome guests to the dinner stations: a Southern station with fried chicken, short ribs, mac and cheese, salad in mini mason jars (super cute presentation!), and fried green tomatoes; and a carving station; plus wedding cake for dessert. Guests received two favors: individually planted succulents (with flags that said Let Love Grow), and the biggest glowsticks I've ever seen - even the DJ said "whoa! those are huge!" when he saw them! Everyone, young and old, had fun with them on the dance floor and then waved them overhead as Stephanie and Casey departed in a white Rolls Royce.

My Favorite Detail
Stephanie is a VP at Arby's, so of course we had to have a representation of Arby's at the wedding. This has got to be the best late-night snack I have ever heard of: Stephanie had a shake machine delivered, and the caterer served sliders and honest-to-goodness Jamocha shakes in personalized cups, complete with pink straws. Adorable, and YUMMY!

My Favorite Moment
Stephanie was escorted down the aisle by her 14 year old son. It was so sweet to see him keeping her calm right before she made her big entrance!
