About The Wedding
This is one of the sweetest couple's stories I have heard! The families are best friends, having met in Norway while the dads worked with GE. All the kids grew up together, and after finally getting her to agree to date him, Brendan then waited eight years for Annelise to marry him. He was literally giddy with happiness the entire wedding day, and it was such a joy to watch! The day started off with all the girls getting ready at Annelise's parents' home. Annelise was cool and collected, tidying up the kitchen herself before the girls headed to the church in a limo, and she and her dad followed in their own limo. We took lots of photos in the church prior to the ceremony, while keeping the bride and groom apart so their first glimpse of each other would be traditional. After a lovely ceremony, we headed outside to get everyone in the limos for our post-ceremony photo session, and not 30 seconds after we stepped out the door, it began to rain! By the time we reached the Roswell Mill complex, it was absolutely pouring. Not to worry, though. The wedding party relaxed in their limos while Annelise and Brendan got to have a bonus private moment in their limo. Soon enough, the downpour slowed to a drizzle and we made our way down to the covered bridge, where Tim got some fabulous photos of the family and wedding party. They all then headed to a local restaurant to unwind before the reception. They returned to Ivy Hall just in time for the start of the cocktail hour, which took place on the deck overlooking the river. Thank goodness the rain had moved on by that time! Tim orchestrated one of my favorite types of photos: a group shot of Annelise and Brendan with all of their guests. It turned out so well, being taken from Ivy Hall's upper deck. Guests then made their way upstairs to find their seats for the stations-style dinner, while the Moxie Band took the stage and rocked the house throughout the evening. Annelise's father gave a moving speech which told the story of the two families, and ended with a sweet thank you to his wife, who was moved to tears. Guests visited the photo booth and wrote the couple a wish on a Jenga piece, and of course, danced, until it was time to send the happy couple off on the bus with their friends and family.

My Favorite Detail
Annelise's father was very into wine, and he had planned a fabulous surprise for Annelise and Brendan. He ordered a large bottle of wine (the equivalent of 8 regular bottles!) and we displayed it at the cocktail hour for the wedding party and parents to sign. The bottle was then opened and served to the guests during dinner, and Annelise and Brendan got to keep the bottle as a lovely memento. I loved Brendan's reaction when he caught sight of it while we were lining up for introductions: "Whoa, that is a huge bottle!"

My Favorite Moment
Annelise loves cake more than I do (if such a thing is possible), and was so excited the whole time to cut and eat their wedding cake. When the time came, it was everything she had hoped for, and I snapped a photo of them feeding each other for the baker so he could know how happy they were!
