Veronica & George
October 21, 2017 · Atlanta, GA

About The Wedding
On a perfect Atlanta fall day, Veronica (a designer at Delta) and George (Air Force) exchanged vows at King Plow Arts Center. George's uncle officiated the ceremony in front of an Edison bulb backdrop. Veronica and George are Trekkies and gaming enthusiasts, so creative details abounded! The ladies carried lanterns instead of bouquets, and the guys sported lapel pins made of authentic D&D dodecahedron (20-sided) dice in lieu of boutonnieres. The guest book was a Star Trek-themed canvas hand-painted by Veronica's sister. Favors were acrylic Star Trek Christmas ornaments, handmade by Veronica and her mom. After a raucous family photo session outside, guests returned to the transformed Back Gallery to enjoy the Southern buffet dinner and - most importantly - the Pittsburgh-style cookie table, with many varieties of cookies and cupcakes made with love by Veronica's mother and grandmother. Before the father/daughter dance, Veronica fulfilled a childhood bet with her father (she had bet him $100 that she would never get married) by presenting him with a crisp $100 bill - encased in resin! It'll make a lovely paperweight. Dancing commenced, and I must say I haven't seen a group so enthusiastically do the Chicken Dance in quite some time. Soon enough, out came the light sabers as Veronica and George departed - ready to fly high into their new life together.

My Favorite Detail
That would be the AMAZING lemon ricotta cookies. YUM!

My Favorite Moment
As the guests headed out at the end to line up for the grand departure, Veronica and George spontaneously shared a private last dance, and then literally skipped out to the car. So adorable!
