Walk a Mile In Your Guests’ Shoes

I’m sharing this ad for two reasons. One, because I laughed out loud for about 5 minutes the first time I saw it, and it still makes me laugh. I think I have met all of those disgruntled wedding guests at one time or another!

Two, I actually like the sentiment of the ad. Yes, of course we all know weddings are supposed to be fun celebrations, but the fact of the matter is that too many people make it all about them and don’t take into account their guests’ comfort and convenience. So as you’re putting the final touches on your plans, take a moment to think through the day as if you were a guest. What will they experience as they arrive, go through the events of the day, and depart? Would you want to be in their shoes?
