Amanda’s Planning Journey: Two Months Out

A planning update from our own Amanda, whose wedding is just two short months away:

It is hard for me to think of myself as a “Real Life Bride.” I spend so much of my time looking at other weddings and their unique ideas, it shocks me to think that my wedding is less than two months away and there is still so much to do. But here are a few of the things I have done as of late:

  • Made my own table runners (because I HAD TO HAVE [I say this sarcastically] vintage looking ones that NO ONE else would have. Hindsight is already sneaking up on me).
  • Figured out how I am doing my hair (loosely curled pulled into a loose side pony tail)
  • Went for a final fitting for my dress (let me tell you, designing your own dress is the way to go)
  • Picked out my jewelry (because every bride should be dripping in jewels [at least that is what I think]

And oh my goodness the showers have started! We have had three so far and a few more to go before the big day! We are running out of places to put stuff as we work on our new house!

It all seems quite overwhelming at times, but right about now all we are really feeling is the overwhelming love of those surrounding us! It is one of the best things in the world.

My advice to all engaged couples, especially those whose weddings are quickly approaching: Enjoy the time right before you’re married and slow down enough to take it all in!
